As America enters the “Third Wave” of our domestic HIV pandemic we need experienced leadership and Randy Russell has spent years in the trenches of every aspect of the domestic fight against AIDS. We welcome the arrival of Healthcare Responses, Inc. under Randy’s leadership.   There is no substitute for the voice of experience in our domestic advocacy efforts.

I have had the pleasure of working with Randy Russell in many venues.  He has been in the HIV field for many years, yet his ideas are always fresh.  Those innovative ideas are combined with a clear vision and determination to create change for the betterment of people living with HIV disease.  At a time when HIV and AIDS is devastating communities, especially in the South, we need leaders like Randy Russell.

Randy Russell is a riot! We work really hard in our organization, so enjoying even the most difficult task is a high priority. Randy is efficient and capable, but he is also so much fun that the most recalcitrant participant was fully engaged. He is the whole package!

I am really happy to know that Randy is back in his natural niche of helping organizations of all types that are involved in the prevention, care and treatment of disease. Having worked with him in various capacities for more than ten years, I know that his communication skills and ability to lead others in seeing the big picture, yet covering the fine details, will be well utilized. Most all of us involved in healthcare services and administration have inadequate time and opportunities to develop new strategies and evaluate program efforts. I look forward to hearing more about Healthcare Responses in the near future; I wish Randy the best!

As advocates for low-income communities across the South, West Tennessee Legal Services has long recognized the challenges that they face regarding health, employment, supportive services, and education to name a few areas. A key to success in all of these areas is affordable housing with those supportive services that are needed.   We’ve worked with Randy on integrating a number of strategies to help communities achieve success. Working with him enabled us to work with communities in a way that left them with the skills to further their goals and brighten their future.   Working with him also enabled us to be better advocates.
